a town in the US state of Arizona known for its violent history. It was established in 1879 for workers in the local silver mines, and the famous gun fight at the OK Corral happened there in 1881. It nearly became a ghost town (= a town with no people), but tourists now come to see the OK Corral, Boot Hill and other Wild West places of interest.
